    Family -Tetragnathidae
    Genus - Metellina / Meta
    Five European species.
    The male mates with the female only once she has caught prey and
    is busy wrapping it.

    This one was living in almost total darkness in a Catacomb.
    One of the wooden sheets that seals the catacomb had fallen off so I
    was able to look inside.
